With 24 years industry experience, I am a fully qualified LAME with current licences in Engine, Airframe (including Composites) and Electrical, plus past Maintenance Authorities in Instrument and Radio.
Hunter Aerospace was created in 2013 to use my wealth of knowledge and experience in the aviation industry to service the maintenance needs of the Hunter Region’s aircraft owners and operators.
Based in the Royal Newcastle Aero Club’s Rutherford hangar, I offer a full suite of maintenance services, including on-call emergency maintenance and advice on any issues related to aircraft safety.
The generous support of RNAC has allowed me to establish my headquarters within easy access for Members and associates. I welcome all enquiries, no matter how big or small.
My career in aviation began when I joined the RAAF in 1990 in the No. 44 Apprentice Intake as an Engine Fitter. Over the ensuing 10 years I served on a range of transport aircraft including Caribou’s, BAE HS748’s and C-130 Hercules.
My experience also included aircrew service on HS748 aircraft and during this time I qualified for my Private Pilot’s Licence through Ibis Air in West Sale, Victoria.
In 2000 I left the RAAF for the commercial aviation industry, working on regional airline fleets consisting of turbo prop aircraft.
For the past decade I have been employed by Aeropelican Air Services Pty Ltd during which time I had direct reporting responsibility to CASA as the Head of Airworthiness and Maintenance Control.
