The 152, first delivered in 1977 as an upgrade of the long serving Cessna 150. The 152 featured a long-overdue increase in engine power with the Lycoming O-235 engine featuring an increase in cabin size.

Cessna ceased production of the 152 in the mid eighties but it still retains a popular following from many pilots worldwide.

It has been stated that more than 75% of the 152s built are still flying today, providing an operational life span well beyond expectations of the day.
